ORNAMENTAL YAM VINE
Dioscorea discolor

This plant is a very attractive vine from the tropical South America. It is a counterclockwise twisting vine grown for its colorful foliage. The heart shaped pointed leaves have dark green, pale green, white and burgundy coloration. The underside of the leaves is vivid purple color. The intensity of the colors depends in part on the light level – in shade the burgundy color doesn’t develop.
